Healthy milkshakes are a perfect cure for those nights when you fly in from work feeling tired and hungry. To not succumb to cravings, have a milkshake, then when the immediate hunger is silenced, get yourself together and enjoy cooking a proper meal.

- 500 ml organic cow milk or (homemade) almond milk to make homemade almond milk, see notes below
- 1 banana the riper the sweeter
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder or more if desired

- BLEND ALL INGREDIENTS for 10 seconds. Done! Serve chilled with a slice of banana or pineapple on the edge of the glass.
To make almond milk soak 200g almonds in water overnight. Pour out the water, then place soaked almonds and 750ml fresh water in a blender, and blend until fine, or in a slow juicer. Pour liquid through a sieve if necessary.
Adjust quantity of water depending on desired creaminess of the almond milk (this recipe is for regularly creamy milk).
